Wind-Storm School of the Classical Samurai Warrior Arts

Calligraphy

INTRODUCTION

Kaze Arashi Ryu is one of the traditional martial arts systems of Japan. The medieval Japanese warrior needed to be skilled in many aspects of combat, this is reflected in the curriculum of the school which includes the arts of Aiki Ju Jutsu (an ancient, unarmed fighting method), Ken Jutsu (combat methods using bladed weapons), Jo Jutsu (the use of various length staffs, spears etc.) and Tessen Jutsu (The use of the steel bladed Samurai war fan).

Kaze Arashi Ryu is practised in traditional form with the emphasis placed on the effective application of the principles of the system. The techniques practised were developed by Samurai warriors over generations of combat; these techniques are still practised in the original battlefield effective form today.
